Overview

The purpose of the survey is better understanding how the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted the local economy in York County. The findings from the survey will be shared anonymously and used to share crucial data with elected officials on the local, state, and federal levels. Additionally, the information will be used to help identify what information could be useful to convey through webinars and information sharing sessions.

  1. Immediate unemployment benefits for those who are displaced from their jobs and lack income to make ends meet.
  2. A tax credit to help business continue to pay people even if they can't be on the job due to quarantines, closings, or limited operations. 
  3. Canceling payment of all payroll taxes paid by employers for the months of March, April, and May.  
  4. Low to no interest business loans to cover lost revenue as a result of the outbreak. 
  5. Waive the requirement that small businesses need to prove they cannot access credit elsewhere before receiving SBA-backed financing up to $35,000 for a limited time frame and within responsible credit-score criteria. 
  6. Immediate and temporary protection of foreclosures, evictions, and debt collection for workers and business owners as non-essential businesses have had to alter their operation.
