Your experience and recommendations to improve NT Government mental health services

Welcome to the NT Lived Experience Network’s survey which has been created to capture people's experience using NT Government mental health services and recommendations to improve the quality of care.

Who are we?

The NT Lived Experience Network is made up of people who have individual experience - or experience supporting a family member - with issues related to mental health, well-being, suicide, trauma or alcohol and other drug use.  All of our advocacy on behalf of the lived experience community is done voluntarily.

Why are we doing this survey?

We are doing this survey for two reasons:

1) The NT Government is reviewing the NT Mental Health Act and we want to ensure the experience and perspectives for a diverse range of people with lived experience are used to inform the review.

2) The Australian Government is running a Disability Royal Commission, and we want to share information to the Commission about the experience and needs of Territorians accessing the NT mental health system.

In this survey we are seeking to understand your experience and gather your feedback for improvements we would like made to the NT Mental Health Act and delivery of NT Government mental health services.
