OCWA's 2023 Scholarship for Environmental and/or Trades Indigenous Students

Company Profile: The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) is a provincial Crown corporation in business to provide environmentally responsible and cost-effective water and wastewater services to Ontario municipalities. OCWA currently operates over 800 facilities in the province, making it the largest operator of water and wastewater facilities in Canada.
Award: Tuition up to a value of $2,500.00 plus one paid co-op work term with OCWA.
Criteria: We are looking for proactive individuals with high achievement and demonstrated interest in the environmental field or trades, with emphasis on water and wastewater treatment and/or mechanical/electrical etc. Demonstrated interest means that you have previous experience/interest in the environment, water and wastewater field or trades such as a Millwright, Electrician or other applicable skilled trade.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be Indigenous descent (First Nation, Inuit or Métis). Proof of ancestry may include a status card or Metis card or a letter from an elder, community member or official.
- Applicants must be enrolled in or entering an Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineer or Trades field co-op program at an approved Ontario university or college during 2022 - Academic excellence. - Demonstrated social responsibility.
