Museums, archives, libraries, historical societies, and other collecting institutions in Virginia and Washington, DC are invited to submit artifacts that share the stories, accomplishments, and struggles of the Commonwealth’s diverse population. This year, we are calling for artifact nominations related to our underrepresented communities to demonstrate the broad diversity of the collections found in Virginia’s museums and to share and celebrate these lesser known stories.
Please complete a nomination form for each artifact submission. Applications close December 10, 2020. The ten selected artifacts/organizations will be notified in mid December. If you have questions, contact VAM at cnewton@vamuseums.org. Thank you for applying!
