Teachley’s Fractions Boost Intervention includes 16 fractions lessons that can be taught in whole group or small group settings. It focuses on building students’ knowledge of fractions and their ability to understand equivalence and part-to-whole concepts.
 
What will I have to do for the study?
 
All participating teachers will attend a 45-60 minute virtual study orientation and facilitate the administration of online assessments to their students at the beginning and end of the study. Half of the participating teachers (the treatment group) will be asked to teach the Fractions Boost Intervention during the study. These teachers will also attend a training on the intervention and teach the lessons in whole class and small group settings, for 8-10 weeks during Spring 2023. The other half of the teachers (the control group) will be asked to use their regular math activities during the study and will gain access to the Teachley fractions intervention after the study is over.  Teachers are randomly assigned to the groups.
 
What are the benefits of the study?
 
●      Teachers will be compensated up to $500 for completion of all study activities.
●      Teachers will receive free extended access to the Teachley resources in the following academic year (2023–2024 school year).
