The Commissioner for Children and Young People, Ms Jacqueline McGowan Jones, monitors developments in legislation, policies and practices in areas impacting children and young people across Western Australia.

Four key areas include youth justice, health and mental health, education and child protection.

The Commissioner has four policy statements outlining her position on each of these areas and has just released a series of discussion papers for feedback to help advocate for the best outcomes for children and young people across WA.
