Interested in presenting to over 1,000 property owners, managers and real estate professionals? If you’re looking for a way to connect directly with an engaged audience, active in the housing market and eager to learn how they can improve their community and their business, then you’ll definitely want to be a part of the CHA Owner Symposium's new year-round webinar series!
Since 2008, the Owner Symposium has been an essential educational and networking event for Chicago property owners, property managers and real estate investors. After three successful years of meeting virtually, CHA is expanding the Symposium to include year-round education opportunities.
CALL FOR SPEAKERS: For 2023, CHA is seeking subject matter experts for six live webinar sessions to be held June - December. These webinars may be lectures, interactive demonstrations or panel discussions but must be relevant to current Chicago rental property trends, including management, maintenance, ownership and investment.
Note: CHA is not accepting proposals for the in-person Symposium panel sessions on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

PRIORITY TOPICS: CHA is particularly interested in subject matter experts who can speak on the following:
- Efficient and Modernized Business Management
- Building Successful Relationships (incl. conflict resolution training)
- Budgeting and Reserve Planning
- Refinancing (incl. an overview of the benefits and different loan options available)
- Securing a Mortgage
- Rehabbing Your Property
- Growing Your Portfolio
- Best Practices for Running a Small Business (incl. hiring staff - maintenance, leasing agent, assistant, etc.)
- Unit Turnover (what needs to be done when a tenant moves out and another tenant moves in)
- Selling/Buying Property (with or without existing tenants)
- .... or pitch us an innovative idea!
Note: CHA is not seeking proposals for HCV-related sessions.
SUBMISSION: Please complete the following survey for each proposed session topic and submit supporting presentation materials by email to symposium@thecha.org. Incomplete surveys or surveys that are not accompanied by supporting materials will not be considered!
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, March 14, 2023
SELECTION NOTIFICATION: CHA will review all submissions and notify applicants of their selection status around April 17, 2023.
SUBMISSION: Please complete the following survey for each proposed session topic and submit supporting presentation materials by email to symposium@thecha.org. Incomplete surveys or surveys that are not accompanied by supporting materials will not be considered!
