* 6. In 100-200 words, please describe how the Award has helped you, changed your outlook, or impacted you in any way. You could also share a memorable experience, greatest achievement or something you have learned about yourself.

Example:
Completing my Gold Award was an invaluable part of my education. Through my Award experience, I volunteered weekly with St Vincent De Paul soup vans, where I got to meet people in my community who have gone through hardship. This has widened my view of my local community, and given me skills in interacting with diverse groups of people that I wouldn't have gained if it wasn't for Duke of Ed. I also believe that my Adventurous Journey section has made a major impact on my life, as it opened my eyes to the wonders of hiking and nature, leading me to study outdoor education at university. I was also able to use my Duke of Ed Award to gain entry into the course of my choice! Overall, completing my Award was a great experience that allowed me to make lots of new friends, develop my confidence and independence, and grow into the person I am today.
