Survey of skills and competencies to enable Media Freedom Literacy
Introduction
This study is being conducted by Martina Chapman, Independent Media and Information Literacy Consultant, on behalf of the OSCE.
The objective of the survey is to identify a number of case-study projects that will help to illustrate how Media Freedom Literacy can be fostered.
Media Freedom Literacy is the ability to understand and value the democratic functions of the media and other information providers, online and offline, and the importance of information pluralism. This includes critical evaluation and ethical production of information and media content.
This online survey has been designed to gather data against a set of criteria with the aim of identifying a range of promising practices.
