Oxford Regional Public Survey |
In 2012, the Oxford Region adopted a Multimunicipal Comprehensive Plan to guide growth and preservation in the area. In January 2024, the Oxford Region Planning Committee (ORPC) began work on an update to that Plan. To inform the Plan update, the ORPC distributed a mini survey that asked respondents to indicate the top three topics/issues that they thought would impact the Oxford Region in the next ten (10) years. The top five answers were 5. Aging Infrastructure, 4. Affordable Housing, 3. Traffic Congestion, 2. Preservation of Rural Character, and 1. Natural Resource Protection. Those answers, along with public input gathered at a public meeting in early 2024, informed the development of this public survey.
Background: The Oxford Region includes Oxford Borough, East and West Nottingham Townships, Lower and Upper Oxford Townships, and Elk Township. The ORPC is a group of dedicated municipal officials and planning commission members who represent their communities in addressing regional planning issues, coordinating for the mutual benefit of the participating municipalities, and working together to implement policies set forth in the Multimunicipal Comprehensive Plan.
Thank you for taking the survey and helping to guide the future of the Oxford Region!
