Conference Information

This two part virtual training series focused on the lethality of strangulation in domestic violence and sexual assault cases.

Designed for Oregon judges, Pretrial Release Officers, and other stakeholders.

The training will be delivered by The Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention, a program of Alliance for HOPE International created in 2011 to provides consulting, training, and resources to professionals whose work involves the fields of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Institute has provided training to law enforcement and courts across the country to better understand the lethality of strangulation and enhance victim safety.

The training will be delivered in two consecutive sessions:
  • Wednesday May 17,  2023 12-1:30pm
  • Friday May 19, 2023 12-1:30pm
This training is being sponsored and paid for by OJD's VAWA Grant.

Live virtual attendance is encouraged, but sessions are recorded and materials will be accessible after the live training to all registered attendees.
