NYS Nonprofit Equitable Economies Coalition

Who We Are: We are a group of nonprofits committed to both racial and economic justice. We want to leverage our collective economic power to dramatically increase opportunities and contracts for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) vendors, contractors, and consultants.

The Survey's Goal: We would like to hear from New York City and State nonprofit organizations about their organizational structure, and procurement policies and practices. Ultimately, we want to learn about best practices and/or challenges you encounter around contracting BIPOC vendors.

Time to Complete the Survey:
We anticipate you will need 15 - 20 minutes to complete this survey.

Who Should Fill Out The Survey:
It requires someone who has expertise in your agency's procurement policies, practices and data points. You will also need to have on hand organizational demographic data.

Here's How We Will Use The Data Collected:
1) We will create a sector report sharing an analysis of the data collected through this survey and focus groups.
2) We will create a best practices toolkit.
3) We will use this to inform BIPOC vendors survey and the creation of a dynamic of a digital marketplace where nonprofits can be in relationship with BIPOC vendors, contractors and consultants.

What We Have Done Already:
1) Hosted focus groups with nonprofit organizations to gather qualitative data on procurement practices and policies.
2) Developed a survey for BIPOC vendors to help build a BIPOC vendors digital marketplace.
3) Continuously building coalition membership.

Anonymity: While we are collecting data on your respective organization, we will present the data results anonymously so organizations will not be identifiable.
