In response to the York University Alumni Board's annual succession planning, The Nominations and Governance Committee calls upon its members, the public, and the York University community to identify and nominate York University Alumni for upcoming vacancies on the Board.


The YUAB welcomes applicants from all demographics and are currently seeking 4-6 new board members. We particularly encourage applications from individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria:
  • A physician or individual working in the medical field
  • alumni over 45 years old
  • Female-identifying alumni
  • Indigenous alumni
  • LGBTQ+ identifying alumni
  • Osgoode alumni
  • alumni living in the Markham area

The University welcomes nominations from all qualified individuals, including women, persons with disabilities, visible minorities (racialized), Indigenous Peoples and persons of any gender identity and sexual orientation. York University is committed to a positive, supportive and inclusive environment. As such, the YUAB strongly encourages nominations for alumni of all backgrounds. The representation of the university community's makeup is essential for our mandate.

This nomination form is for screening purposes only. Nominations will be reviewed by the Nominations and Governance Committee and candidates will be contacted about available opportunities.
