I'll remember that

Invitation to Respond

I’ll remember that is an art piece that was created by the interdisciplinary artist Leuca Jane Ziemons and was first exhibited at ‘W O M X N’ 2020 in the Spectrum Project Space, Mount Lawley, Western Australia.

‘W O M X N’ 2020 was a group show involving female/identifying as female/non-binary students/alumni from Edith Cowan University. The artists were encouraged to create a piece of art, based on their own individual experiences as a womxn.

The aim of this creative work is to bring together the many voices; spoken, whispered, yelled and sung by Mothers around the world.  This piece is an ongoing project and will be exhibited in a variety of spaces.

This is your invitation to respond and it is entirely voluntary. Your words will be stitched and will remain completely anonymous. Your responses in their stitched form will be documented in a variety of formats including process photographs, detail photographs, smaller more intimate art pieces, along with images taken within the exhibition space.

It is Leuca's intention that this work will provide an opportunity for deep reflection upon the long term impact of our words and the acknowledgement that what we say holds meaning far beyond the initial utterance.

Kind thoughts,

Leuca
