Westmorland and Furness Council awarded £1.7 million to put the wheels on more bus services in 2024/25 – have your say and help shape spending plans |
The Department for Transport has awarded Westmorland and Furness Council £1.7 million of Bus Service Improvement Plan Plus (BSIP+) funding to enhance services across the area in 2024/25.
The Council's Sustainable Transport Team has devised a list of 35 proposed bus routes the monies could fund.
Residents, businesses and visitors to the area are encouraged to take part in this consultation to comment on the Council’s suggestions and provide feedback on routes communities would like to see supported that have not yet been considered.
Feedback provided in this consultation will be used to develop a recommendation report that will be presented to Highways and Transport Strategic Board on 4 June 2024 for a decision.
