Trauma-Informed Higher Education Survey
Faculty and Academic Administrative Perspectives on Trauma-informed Practices in Higher Education
Thank you for participating in a survey about trauma-informed practices in higher education. Before completing the survey, please take time to review the following information. We are looking for college instructors (full-time or part-time) or academic administrators (e.g., Provosts, Deans, Chairs) who are interested in participating in a survey about how institutions of higher education are implementing trauma-informed practices. Our goal is to explore the prevalence and use of trauma-informed practices in higher education from an institutional, not a departmental or individual perspective. It will take approximately 15 minutes. You may choose to skip or not answer any questions at any time.
This study is considered minimal risk. There are no direct benefits as a result of participation. However, this survey will contribute to the body of research that intends to minimize harm and maximize educational success of post-secondary students by adding to the information needed to teach and administer through a trauma-informed lens.
We will keep the information from the survey no longer than three years after the end of the study. Throughout this process, your identity will be kept confidential. No identifying information will be included in the reporting of the results. The primary researchers and their contact information:
Dr. Suzanne Reinhardt (sreinhar@sfu.ca)
Dr. Addisu Bailie (addisu_bailie@sfu.ca)
Dr. Debra Berke (debra.l.berke@wilmu.edu)
