Nominations open JULY 15, 2024!

Please fill out the questions below for the nominated program / person. The experienced panel of judges will review and score the information. In lieu of additional information, such as brochures, please provide links to the nominee’s social media pages in the provided space.

We prefer a representative from the winners to be at the in person award ceremony at the NRC Recycling Congress, held in partnership with NYSAR3, on November 19, 2024. Recordings will be accepted if in person attendance is not possible.

INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU START -- FIRST PREPARE A DOCUMENT that provides an overall description of the nominee, limited to 350 words or less. This document will highlight the nominee's achievements based on the following criteria:
  • Criteria for Outstanding Higher Education Award: Awarded to a College or University with an exceptional program in recycling, connecting higher education and industry in the areas of degrees, applied research, tech transfer, career services, and links with recycling and materials management industries.
  • Criteria for ALL OTHER award categories: Composting, diversion, and reduction programs are included. Effects on recycling, hierarchy, and tons (optional for lifetime achievement & Bill Heenan Emerging Leader); Coverage and longevity of program; Innovation / Leadership / cutting edge; and Program Economics.

Awards will be presented at the NRC Recycling Congress, held in partnership with NYSAR3, in person on November 19, 2024.
