The Northwest Consortium for Open Resources in Special Circumstances (NORSC) invites you to participate in its first webinar of 2015.
Learn about Oregon Youth Authority’s use of RACHEL (Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education), a free collection of “the World's best educational resources, neatly packaged together for download and distribution in places without internet.” In addition, Oregon Youth Authority will discuss their initial impressions of their use of Google Chromebooks.

The webinar will use Blackboard Collaborate. The link to the webinar will be sent to the email registered below. A recording of the webinar will also be made available following the event.
What are the technology needs for this online training?
· Hardware: You must have computer speakers or a headset in order to hear the training. You can type your questions or add a microphone if you prefer to talk.
· Software: The Collaborate program will require you to download a free software add-in. The initial setup should a couple of minutes, but if you encounter any problems, it could take longer.
· SBCTC is not able to help troubleshoot any technology issues; contact your IT department for support.
o You should log in at least 30-45 minutes early so you have time to check system requirements and run updates on your computer if necessary.
