Would you like to contribute to the evaluation of the Community Recovery Handbook (AIDR, 2018)?
The Community Recovery Handbook was revised and re-published in 2018 and forms part of the Australian Disaster Resilience Handbook Collection. The handbook aims to provide a comprehensive guide to community recovery in Australia to assist all organisations that help communities before, during and after a disaster. It is applicable across all Commonwealth and state government departments, emergency management agencies, local governments, non-government organisations, community groups and the emergent groups that form in response to a disaster. The Handbook is not designed to take the place of standard operating procedures but to inform community recovery planning and practice.
The Community Recovery Handbook (Handbook 2) (AIDR, 2018) is published on the Australian Disaster Resilience Knowledge Hub: https://knowledge.aidr.org.au/resources/handbook-2-community-recovery/
The purpose of this survey is to evaluate how the updated 2018 edition of the handbook has been adopted and implemented and how the handbook has supported people and organisations in their community recovery planning activities. The survey will also give us a better understanding of the level of awareness of the handbook and its impact.
The survey is divided into 4 sections:
I. Knowledge, use and impact of the handbook
II. Structure and content of the handbook
III. Community recovery experiences, challenges and opportunities
IV. Demographics - your profile
This survey targets handbook users and non-users. Taking part is anonymous and should take about 10 minutes.
Your participation in this survey will help ensure the national community recovery handbook reflect and support the needs of the broad cross-section of users.
Thank you for your support.
