25th Annual Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge Photography Contest
Contest Rules
To celebrate National Wildlife Refuges and the beauty of nature, Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge invites all photographers to enter the 25th Annual Nature Photography Contest.All photos must be captured on the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Photos taken elsewhere will not be eligible. Entries are accepted July 10 - September 6, 2024.
Participants may submit up to eleven entries, with a maximum of 1 entry per category.
Judging: Photos will be reviewed by a panel of judges. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and Honorable Mentions will be chosen for each category. The judges will also award a Best of Show. Once judging is completed, you will have the opportunity to vote for People's Choice!
Awards: Prizes will be awarded! The 1st place photograph for each category in the Adult Age Group, highlights from the Child & Youth Age Groups, Best of Show and People's Choice photographs will be featured in our 2025 Calendar (1st place/People's Choice/Best of Show receive a free calendar). Additionally, 1st place winners, People's Choice & Best of Show will receive free access to the upcoming Refuge Photography Class Series. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention photos as well as People's Choice and Best of Show will be displayed on our website. All contest winners will also be invited to participate in a special twilight tour photo opportunity on the refuge, and the Best of Show will receive a private tour for up to 9 friends!
