NASA Transition Modeling Workshop September 13-14, 2017 Location: National Institute of Aerospace, Hampton, VA
NASA will organize a Transition Modeling Workshop to help assess the challenges associated with the modeling of boundary-layer transition as it relates to the objectives of CFD Vision 2030 and to formulate a long term research plan to overcome these challenges. The workshop will include invited presentations by experts and stakeholders from government, industry, and academia, and will conclude with an open forum discussion that will be facilitated by Prof. Eli Reshotko and Dr. Phillipe Spalart. A preliminary agenda for the workshop is available at https://turbmodels.larc.nasa.gov/Transition_workshop2017/transition_workshop2017_agenda.pdf.
Workshop participation is by invitation only. However, depending on available space, others are welcome to attend as well. If you are a regular attendee (i.e., not a presenter/invited participant), then you must submit this form by Aug. 14th so that a decision for attendance may be conveyed to you by August 17th. If you are a presenter/invited participant, we still encourage you to register here, so that we have a more accurate head count for the no-host dinner.
