Who is eligible to apply?
  • This is an opportunity for nonprofit staff, consultants, NAM Business Partners and others to share their expertise and brand with NAM member organizations. Presentation formats include workshops, lectures, webinars or panel discussions.

Why should I apply?
  • Nonprofit Association of the Midlands connects organizations with information, education, advocacy and opportunities for collaboration. We help members focus their energy on the people and communities they serve. One important way we do this is through offering an active and robust training calendar that our members can count on as a way to build their skills and knowledge. As a NAM trainer, you will get the opportunity to share your expertise with nonprofit professionals across the sector, providing valuable exposure for you as well as the opportunity to strengthen nonprofits and the communities they serve.
When will the sessions be scheduled?
  • We'll work with you on scheduling. All training sessions will be held between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. 
What kind of topics are you looking for?
  • We invite you to submit a proposal for trainings on topics that align with the twelve areas of nonprofit operations as outlined in our Guidelines and Principles for Nonprofit Excellence toolkit.

When is the deadline to submit a proposal?
  • Proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis. 

What is your selection criteria?
Successful proposals will:
  • Share promising or best practices in one or more of the 12 areas addressed in the Guidelines and Principles.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the given subject matter.
  • Be well thought out and complete, with clear learning objectives and take-aways.
  • Address an in-demand topic.
  • Provide evidence of the trainer's experience in teaching, training, &/or group facilitation.
  • Provide opportunities for hands-on learning &/or tools that can be put to use immediately.
  • Avoid sales pitches during or after the session.
When will I know if my proposal has been accepted?
  • RFPs are reviewed as they are received. You should hear from us within 30 days of submission. If you don't hear from us, you may have caught us during an especially busy time. Feel free to send a gentle reminder to training@nonprofitam.org
Other Considerations: 
  • Sessions may be conducted via Zoom or in-person. Location may vary.
  • While you are welcome to distribute brochures or other business information, we have a strict non-solicitation policy for workshop presenters.
