The ASK Project is a collaboration among the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed (NADD), Mathematica, and the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC). The purpose of this project is to build an accessible online platform that will serve as a trusted source of services and programs in the state of Florida for caregivers of a person with an intellectual or developmental disability such as autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, deafness, blindness, a traumatic brain injury or any other health condition or impairment.

This year's primary goal is to build upon the previous years by collecting information to identify the community resources used families and caregivers, including those living in rural areas, that support their role as caregivers of a person with I/DD. This includes ways they identify and share information, assist each other with accessing key resources, refer people to useful resources, how they overcame challenges or barriers, and how they utilize existing web-based platforms.

Your stories will help shape the future of caregiving in our state.

Your participation is voluntary. You do not have to answer a question if you do not want to. Refusing to answer some or all the questions will not adversely affect you or your loved one with an I/DD. The ASK Project team will treat all information you provide as confidential. The information you share will be used only for research and data analysis by the research team. Data will only be reported in aggregate and does not personally identify you. The findings from this study will be used by the FDDC to develop personas and journey maps, and will be used to expand their existing strategies, services, and policies that support the social and emotional wellness of persons with I/DD across their lifespan.
