Welcome to the MakerUSA Letter of Interest submission form.  MakerUSA is an incubated organization within the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE)

You can learn more about MakerUSA through our website, including eligible organizations, current pending Innovation Sites, and examples of the types of projects MakerUSA Program Managers can support.

The first step in a potential partnership is the submission of this brief Letter of Interest.  The LOI is a simple, non-binding submission that is designed to identify alignment between your organization’s goals and possible support from MakerUSA. The LOI submission should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

LOI submissions that align with the mission of MakerUSA will be considered for Program Manager placement within our first cohort of Innovation Sites well as the 2023+ footprint. Your LOI submission will guide geographic focus regions as well as broader program strategy. Following the LOI submission, pending mission alignment, we will develop a formal Program Manager role specific to the goals of your organization.

MakerUSA staff are available to answer any questions, and discuss your institution’s unique goals and recommend a Program Manager type that can best support your community prior to LOI submission.

You can reach MakerUSA leadership by contacting <info@makerusa.org>

Thank you for considering partnership with MakerUSA!

The 2022-23 pilot model establishes a $6,000 cost-share for Innovation Sites, with a sliding scale to ensure equitable access. These dollars go directly to the support of the Program Manager's salary. The combined starting compensation package of a first-year Program Manager will be between $45,000-55,000 (FTE equivalent), in addition to training, networking and professional development benefits. PM compensation will increase by $5,000 after each contract year, assuming the Innovation Site, MakerUSA and the PM agree to continue the contract and the corresponding increase in financial contributions is secured. The long-term financial model will be informed by the LOI process and pilot implementation.

Please confirm your institution’s willingness and ability to consider this cost-share.

Please remember this is a non-binding submission and is for information gathering purposes only.
