Multilingual Families` Response to COVID-19: New Challenges and Opportunities |
1. Welcome to Our Survey
The current COVID-19 pandemic has led and is currently leading to unprecedented changes world-wide and continues to affect societies and communities in a number of different ways. The current survey is seeking to provide a descriptive snapshot of the experiences of multilingual families during the pandemic in order to stimulate dialogue and help these families navigate through the current crisis and distill lessons from it.
If you have a child / children (at the age of 0-18), you are invited to fill out the current survey.
The focus is on the use of multiple languages and possible changes driven by the current pandemic. We also aim to document access to remote learning in multilingual families. Participation is 100% voluntary. The survey is available in multiple languages for your convenience.
In the current questionnaire, we use the term “home language” to refer to a language that is spoken at home by multilinguals and this language is not a majority language of the society. For example, Russian in Israel / in Germany.
If you are interested to obtain the results of the survey, you can contact the research team (see contact details below). Your responses will be treated as strictly confidential and will be used for research purposes. You will not be identified in any report or publication. The results of the survey will be disseminated through scientific publications as well as by means of social media platforms.
