The Care of Living Kidney Donors: A Knowledge, Attitudes, Practice Survey of Canadian Family Physicians |
We are inviting you to participate in our survey as currently many Canadian kidney transplant programs defer the long-term care of living kidney donors to a family physician. A living kidney donor is a healthy individual who donates one of their kidneys to a patient with end stage renal disease. Prior donors have identified that they want their family doctors more involved in their donation journey. We would like to obtain your perspectives and thoughts on this.
You are eligible to complete this questionnaire if you are a family physician/general practitioner who provides clinical care in Canada. We would appreciate your participation even if you currently do not care for any living kidney donors.
While there are no direct benefits to you, your responses will help us identify ways in which we can improve the care of living kidney donors who provide such a valuable gift to society and to our patients. Your responses may help increase rates of living donation.
The attached questionnaire will take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Your participation is voluntary, and you may choose to withdraw at any time. We will analyze all questionnaire responses together and remove any identifying information. Only a collective analysis of questionnaire responses will be reported.
By completing this questionnaire, you are consenting to participate in this research study. In appreciation of your time, if you provide us with your e-mail address, we will send you an Amazon or Starbucks gift certificate in the amount of $10. If you wish, we will also send you the pre-publication results. Your email or any identifying information about you will not be shared with anyone outside of the research team.
For each question, please select the answer that best corresponds to your experience.
Your replies are very important! Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
