2018 Lincoln-Eliot Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ) Survey
Please take a few moments to complete this brief survey!
These days, we’re all super-connected, and yet increasingly divided. But, regardless of background, there is more that unites us than divides us, and our biggest connection is our Lincoln-Eliot children. We want them to learn and grow, but we also want them to make friends and feel included. As parents, we can start by setting the example and taking a small action to connect with the community.
Below is a survey, created by the Lincoln-Eliot chapter of FORJ, Families Organizing for Racial Justice.
Please take a few moments and let us know what types of events you’d be interested in, both for you and your kids. We will get into the logistics (timing, childcare, locations, etc.) when we have a better idea of where to focus. Together, we can show our kids how to build bridges to understanding.
FORJ (Families Organizing for Racial Justice) is a coalition of school-aged families in Newton coming together to teach our children – and ourselves – how to stand up for racial equality.
Each school in the district has a team of parents organizing FORJ and the Lincoln-Eliot team is looking for more parents who are interested in enhancing our diverse community through this race, culture, and identity work. Stay tuned for info on a L-E community-building event this spring!
