In order to appropriately balance the agricultural lands and protect the existing character of the community while allowing for new growth and development, the county is undergoing an update for its Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. This update will consolidate zoning districts within the county and help streamline administrative processes for property owners and developers. The county has worked over the last few months to develop this updated document and now we need your help to finalize the uses and standards within the plan.
Click the link below to review the following zoning district. Each proposed district outlines a list of permitted uses (allowed by right), conditional uses (uses that are allowed with approval from the Board of Zoning Appeals), and development standards which ensure new and existing development is compatible with neighboring properties and protects the overall health and safety of residents. Please review the list of permitted and conditional uses for each district and mark if you agree or disagree with each new zoning district.
