Hello Alberta Teacher!
Thank you for your interest in bringing food into your classroom with a Mini Food Grant (“Grant”) to enhance your students’ experience with the Food Explorers program. The purpose of the Grant is to increase accessibility to purchase food to facilitate the Food Explorers program with your students.
The goal of the Food Explorers program is to explore a variety of foods safely and positively. Research has shown that the more foods an individual is familiar with, the more varied their diet will be, and ultimately they will have more positive health outcomes. Therefore, a key component of the Food Explorers program is the opportunity to prepare and taste different foods.
Each Grant has a value of $150.00. You may receive a maximum of one Grant per school year. To qualify and apply for the Mini Food Grant, please complete the application form.
