The MassBays National Estuary Program is pleased to offer this free training for staff and leaders of municipal departments of public works and planning, conservation commissions and agents, and nonprofits concerned about water quality in coastal ecosystems.
Attendees will gain insights into how to apply Green Infrastructure -- stormwater management techniques that utilize natural treatment and control -- in their own communities. Engineers from Tetratech will lead the workshops, using a new handbook developed with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and lead the group through a step-by-step process for watershed assessment, BMP selection, and special considerations for coastal settings.
