Nature Markets Survey |
NetZero Isle of Man are currently exploring a scheme to attract private sector funding into on-Island nature restoration projects to sequester carbon and increase biodiversity. The carbon sequestered would generate high integrity carbon units for sale, potentially along with nature units, for buyers to offset against unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions. The scheme would provide owners of land with a revenue stream, support the Island’s statutory target of Net Zero by 2050 and address biodiversity net gain. Various businesses on the Island have already expressed an interest in this type of high integrity scheme and, as NetZero Isle of Man works towards pilot projects, we would like to gauge the level and nature of demand more widely across the Island’s businesses for investing in local nature projects. Your response to the following questions will help to inform the development of the scheme. We anticipate that this survey, comprising 17 questions, will take approximately 5-10 minutes.
