Database Engineer

Location: Head Office, Lahore

Education: BCS or equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years of Core Oracle database and Apps Database experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Administration

Effectively manage the daily backups.
Ensure that services are up and running.
Apply patching to resolve the different issues of R-12.
Undertake cloning review.
Routine and scheduled review of the Database storage structure and if required take steps to increase space.
Monitor end users sessions.
Rectify run time errors and resolve related issues.

Service Operations and Application Administration
Execute the operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Closely liaison & interaction with (Oracle Corporation) NOC/DC and other IT internal functions.
Undertake systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
Implementation of disaster recovery protocol.
Undertake daily back-up activity.
Provide RDF reports to Business Applications department.
Place SS cards on production database.
Monitor hardware & memory up-grades.
