Housing Action Plan Implementation, Phase III

Thank you for taking this survey! Your evaluation will help us to identify preferred small manufactured housing units for the City of White Salmon – one of a series of planned actions to create more and better housing options for all White Salmon residents under the City’s adopted Housing Action Plan. This is a unique opportunity to achieve our goals while minimizing unintended and undesirable consequences for any citizen. Our goal is to preserve and even enhance livability for the entire city.
---
This survey presents a series of candidates for small manufactured units. They were chosen on the basis of the following criteria:
1. They are similar to plans that received positive feedback in the previous "visual preference" surveys.
2. They follow the criterion of having a "small town feeling" and a more traditional character (while some supported more modernist designs, others objected to them).
3. They have actually been built, and ideally, include photos of the completed project.
4. They are available to be delivered on sites in White Salmon.
---
We ask you to compare and evaluate which buildings would be more or less desirable in your own neighborhood (part of an approach we call “Quality In My Back Yard,” or QUIMBY). You can rate each option from 0 to 10, meaning that 10 is a plan that you like the most, and 0 is a plan that you like the least. (You can rank as many plans as "10" as you want, or "0", or any other number - they don't need to be ranked in order of preference.)
Note that we are asking for your evaluation of the exterior characteristics of each building, considering how you would like it as a neighboring building. Please ignore the specific interior plan characteristics for now. (Although you may note your thoughts in the comments, e.g. bedrooms are too small, etc.)
If you don't want to rate a plan, or feel indifferent, please mark it as "5", which is neutral.
Note that you may find some aspects of a building are positive, and some are negative. For example, you may not like the size of the building, but find it otherwise attractive. If that is the case, please make note of that in your comments, and clarify which aspect you are ranking.
---
First, we ask that you give us information that will help us to understand how different stakeholders may view the alternatives differently. As you would do at a public meeting, we ask that you state your name and address. If you are willing, please also add your age, ethnicity, occupation, years in the city, whether you own or rent your home, and what type of home it is.
