Edgerton Community Housing Advocates Training |
About this survey:
Background:
UCS and the Johnson County Health Equity Network are implementing a Community Housing Advocacy Training pilot in Edgerton, which will be comprised of six two-hour sessions designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to engage in advocacy that addresses housing needs in their Edgerton. Participants will receive a stipend for each session, and food and childcare will be provided.
Goals and recommendations in the Johnson County Community Housing Study and the Housing for All Toolkit highlight the need to establish a network of residents who can advocate for housing needs as part of a strategy to achieve safe, stable, and attainable housing. Such a network could raise awareness to the different housing needs throughout Johnson County and open more community communication with City officials.
The survey below is designed to help UCS select a group of participants from a diverse range of backgrounds and lived experiences.
Responses will not be shared and will be used only to ensure equitable representation among the pilot participants.
