Primary Care Advisory Committee Expression of Interest
If you are interested in participating on the CancerCare Manitoba Prevention & Screening Primary Care Advisory Committee (PCAC), complete the information below. This information will not be shared outside of CancerCare Manitoba. It will be used to determine committee members and to communicate about matters related to the advisory committee.
A clinician who is interested in participating on the Primary Care Advisory Committee for the CancerCare Manitoba Prevention and Screening Programs will provide feedback on resources, activities, and projects. This person must:
- be a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse who currently works in a primary care setting.
- have an interest in improving cancer screening and prevention outcomes.
- be willing to engage in thoughtful dialogue about the evidence and policy as it relates to CancerCare Manitoba's screening guidelines and cancer prevention recommendations.
- be willing to meet/provide feedback at least 3x per year in-person or virtually.
- consult with colleagues to provide comprehensive feedback.
- respond to emails or short surveys periodically throughout the year.
Physicians participating in the Primary Care Advisory Committee are able to claim MainPro:
- non-certified self-learning credits for time spent on the committee, or
- linking learning to administration credits.
