RIAPA - Leadership Nominations

RIAPA Leadership Nomination Solicitation

The Rhode Island Academy of Physician Assistants (RIAPA) is looking for member leaders interested in helping to build our future here in RI. If you would like to be part of the team, or know someone that would be interested, then please fill out the survey below and nominate yourself or a colleague.

Terms of office for each position are 2025-2027. Nominations will be open from April 15 through April 30, 2025.

Who qualifies? To serve on the board, you must be an active and current member of RIAPA.

This is the nomination round. Any and all members are encouraged to participate and put their name in or the name of a willing colleague fo the election.

If nominating a colleague, please make sure that they are aware you are nominating them.

3.Nomination for President-elect of RIAPA (please list the name and email).

The President-Elect, in the absence or disability of the President, shall exercise the powers of the President. The President-Elect shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President or Board of Directors.
4.Nomination of Secretary of RIAPA (please list name and email)
Keep an accurate record of the proceedings of the meetings of RIAPA and the Board of Directors, preserve records, documents and correspondence, cause notice to be given of elections and of meetings of the Society and the Board of Directors, and perform all other duties as in the bylaws.
5.Nomination for Treasurer of RIAPA (please list name and email)

The Treasurer shall be the custodian of the Society's funds, reports and follow the guidelines as in the By-laws.
6.Nomination of Director-At-Large (3 positions)

Must be current Fellow or Affiliate memers of RIAPA.
Student directors-at-large and alternate directors-at-large shall be currently enrolled in an accredited PA training program within the boundaries of the state of Rhode Island and be a current student member of the RIAPA.
7.RI Delegate to AAPA House of Delegates (2 Positions)

The RIAPA delegates to the AAPA House of Delegates are responsible for attending the annual meeting of the HOD which is held every May at the AAPA annual conference.

They represent the interests of the RIAPA in developing AAPA policy. In addition, they are expected to review all resolutions and make recommendations to the RIAPA board of directors for the academy's position on pertinent resolutions.
