Information needed to answer this survey correctly The purpose of this survey is to validate a process that assists the practitioner in choosing the development approach that would best suit the requirements of the mobile application. An hypothetical mobile app was defined and analysed using the mentioned process. We ask that you take your time to help us improve the accuracy of this process. The study uses the approaches suggested in the book Enterprise Class Mobile Application Development: A Complete Lifecycle Approach for Producing Mobile Apps published by IBM. In it are defined 6 development approaches illustrated below. You will need to reference these approaches in order to be able to answer the survey questions correctly.
Approaches 1- Responsive Mobile Web Application: 100% web app. No installation in the mobile device is required. 2- Wrapped Mobile Site: Mobile site wrapped in a native shell with no interaction with content, aka Web View. 3- Pre-packaged HTML5: Typical hybrid application such as that proposed by platforms like Apache Cordova. 4- HTML5 with native interface components: Typical hybrid application with special plugins to enhance user experience. 5- Native with inserts: Typical native application with few features in web view format. 6- Native: Pure native app.
