This survey is about what is known as the “10m2 Rule” and supporting arrangements. The 10m2 Rule refers to provisions in work health and safety laws that allow workers who have undergone appropriate training to remove up to 10m2 of bonded or non-friable asbestos and a small amount of associated dust without an asbestos removal licence.

Please note that Victorian OHS laws restrict the removal of up to 10m2 to be within a 7-day period. Also, this rule does not apply in the ACT.

Your responses will help the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency (ASEA) to understand how the 10m2 Rule operates in practice, and to identify any further support that industry may need. ASEA is not a regulator and your responses are anonymous.

The survey will take you through questions about your business and your workplace experiences in relation to asbestos including training and waste disposal.

At the bottom of each page, you will see two blue buttons: “Next” to continue with the survey and “Previous” to review your previous answers.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
