2023 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

This Award is presented at the 2024 Chamber Annual Awards Banquet 
 
Businesses nominated for this award will have made a substantial contribution to the community for the last five years or longer, have employees who individually and collectively participate in the community, demonstrates outstanding business practices, and the physical presence of the business adds to the economic vitality and livability of our community. Businesses can nominate themselves or another Business they feel should be recognized. 
 
CRITERIA 
  • Nominee must be an active business located or operating in the Cottage Grove area. 
  • Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce. 
  • Nominee must have been in business for at least 5 years. 
  • Nominee must demonstrate three or more of the following characteristics: 
    • Exceptional growth through additional creation of jobs 
    • Revenue growth 
    • Innovative products or services 
    • Provides exemplary customer service 
  • Volunteers in the Cottage Grove community. Demonstrates involvement of both employer(s) and employee(s) 
  • Demonstrates economic support of the Cottage Grove area business community.
  • Actively supports the community through school, city, and chamber functions.
The Chamber reserves the right to request two letters of reference from a third party. The nominee may furnish one of these letters if they did not submit the original nomination form.
