The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) is pleased to announce the opening of the public comment period for the National Standards for Community Supervision. The Standards were in development for four years before its release on Saturday, June 29, 2024. We invite you to share your thoughts regarding the recently published National Standards for Community Supervision. These Standards aim to enhance the effectiveness, fairness, and safety of community supervision practices nationwide. We are seeking feedback to better understand your perspective and insight in response to these Standards. We invite practitioners, stakeholders, and the general public to review the Standards and provide feedback. Your input is crucial in helping to shape policies that support rehabilitation and public safety.
