Long Lake Regional Park New Shelter Survey

The picnic shelter rental season may be over, but Ramsey County Parks and Recreation is already busy designing a new picnic shelter for the section of Long Lake Regional Park called Lions Park. The capacity of the shelter will be approximately 150 people. It will be located next to the parking lot at Lions Park, near a new bathroom building, and in close proximity to a playground, softball field and soccer field. We need your input to design the best shelter possible.
Example  of a picnic shelter
1.What kind of event have you hosted or participated in the past?
2.If you rented this shelter, how many people would you invite to the event?
3.What kind of activities do you like to do when you picnic with a group at a shelter (volleyball, barbecuing, yard games, music/dance, etc)?
4.Would you prefer a kitchen at the picnic shelter?
5.If there were no kitchen included in the shelter, the construction budget could go to other amenities in the park. Which of these amenities would you prefer in Long Lake Regional Park?
6.Are there other things that we should consider when designing this shelter?
7.How would you describe your race/ethnicity?
8.Are there ways that we can make our picnic shelter and pavilion rentals, or park facilities more attractive to people of different racial and cultural backgrounds?
Thank you for participating in the future of your Ramsey County Parks!
