Community Survey

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) in partnership with the Department of General Services (DGS) would like to enlist residents’ feedback on the scheduled Lafayette Recreation Center’s modernization. Lafayette Recreation Center, located at 5900 33rd Street, NW, has approved Capital funding allocated for the modernization of the existing recreation center.

DPR and DGS held our first community meeting on October 26, 2017 to advise residents of the scheduled modernization. As part of our community outreach efforts, we have developed this survey. This survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and is intended to gain an understanding of who currently uses the recreation center and to gain input on the community’s desired future amenities for the recreation center.

Please note that the Chevy Chase Community Center (located at 5601 Connecticut Ave, NW) is currently scheduled to receive interior renovations (ADA upgrades, new elevators, upgraded multipurpose rooms and upgraded programming spaces) in FY 2019. Community outreach for the project will begin Fall 2018.
