* 5. Child Care - I include a broad-based system that helps young families take care of kids, educate them, and prepare them for a good productive life. We have made having kids so expensive and very difficult for aspiring parents. And we are also putting way too much burden on women. There, I said it!

The common good - while not as obvious but we all need culture, the arts, wonderful parks, good highways, efficient train and public transportation systems, airports, clean air and water, and all the “common” things we take for granted but shouldn’t. Yes, energy systems and climate belong here too. These are the "arteries" of a thriving civilization and together we have to invest in them.
