LPHS Graduation 2021 Parent/Guardian Survey

We are excited to host an in-person graduation ceremony this year. While we look forward to seeing our students and their families in Howard Fellows Stadium on May 27, as a public school district we are still required to following prevailing guidelines for COVID-19 safety.

Using current COVID-19 spectator guidelines for outdoor events, based on the Governor's Office Phase 4 guidance, we are allowed 25% capacity in Howard Fellows Stadium, but "individuals with proof of full vaccination — defined as 14 days after receiving a final vaccine dose — or a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) 1-3 days prior to an event do not count against capacity limits." Therefore, each graduating L-P student will be allowed 4 tickets to graduation that can be used by any guest. They are also able to receive an additional 5 tickets for any other guest who can provide proof of their full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) within the appropriate timeframe along with a government-issued photo ID (i.e., driver's license, passport, state ID) - for a possible total of 9 tickets for each student.

Illinois is expected to move into the Bridge Phase on May 14, which allows us to increase our spectator capacity to 60%. If that happens, each student will be given 9 tickets that could be used by any guest as well as the option for an additional 3 tickets for guests who can show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (PCR), along with a government-issued photo ID - for a possible total of 12 tickets for each student.

If weather requires graduation to move into Sellett Gym, then each student will receive 2 tickets under the current Phase 4 guidance (25% capacity) that could be used by any guest as well as the option for an additional 2 tickets for guests who can show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (PCR) and a government-issued photo ID - for a possible total of 4 tickets for each student.

Under the Bridge Phase guidelines (60% capacity), students will receive 5 tickets that could be used by any guest as well as the option for an additional 2 tickets for guests who can show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (PCR) a government-issued photo ID - for a possible total of 7 tickets for each student.
