Barrie Transit is planning for route adjustments to its network in 2025 to improve service reliability and efficiency. To assist in visualizing the route changes, a map of the planned 2025 network is provided below.

The planned adjustments are as follows:
  • February 2025 - Extending Route 2 to service the Pringle and Sproule neighbourhood as a replacement for the Transit ON Demand (TOD) Zone G due to ridership levels. The extended Route 2 will operate every 30 minutes (during peak hours) from Park Place to downtown via the extension to Pringle and Sproule.
  • Summer 2025 - Adjusting Route 8 to better align with the new Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal. Additionally, smaller adjustments such as new routing on Lakeshore, Springdale, and Cundles providing more travel options.
  • Summer 2025 - New Salem and Hewitt’s TOD zones (Zones E/F/H) will be implemented to provide transit to new communities in south Barrie. Additionally, a small adjustment to TOD Zone D in the Lockhart neighbourhood will better standardize zone sizes.
