The Town of Yarmouth and the Drive-In Site Utilization Committee are seeking suggestions from Yarmouth residents on a name for a new community park to be located along the Parkers River at the former Drive-In Site Property at 669 Route 28, West Yarmouth. The park will feature such amenities as walking paths, a kayak launch, interactive playscape area, native vegetation, open lawn area for a variety of intermittent special events, interpretive/educational signage, parking and public restrooms. The park will lead to woodland trails that will access a raised looped boardwalk that will offer panoramic views of the marshlands to the south. The Committee will collect suggested names and offer recommendations to the Select Board for their selection. Suggestions will be accepted through July 24, 2024.
