Introduction

The Town of Little Elm is updating its Zoning (Chapter 106) and Subdivision (Chapter 107) ordinances and consolidating these development regulations (plus the Sign Code) into a single Land Development Code (LDC).

Like Chapters 106 and 107, the LDC will provide standards for how land is developed in Little Elm—the uses that are permitted, building height and form, setbacks between properties and rights-of-ways, and regulations for parking, landscaping, and other site and building features.

This project will include many opportunities for community participation to give residents, developers, and business owners multiple opportunities to comment on the project from start to finish—both online and during in-person events. A project website has been established at www.LittleElmLDC.org.

This kick-off survey is intended to help assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current development regulations and assist the project team with understanding how the regulations are used and what does—or does not—work well. Your input is important, and we appreciate your taking time to respond. You are encouraged to be frank and open.

All survey questions are optional—you are welcome to skip any of the questions and respond just to those for which you have thoughts or opinions.
