Health & Allied Services is a rapid growth industry. There is a strong interest from young people to join this sector however schools and students remain unsure of the multitude of pathways and employment options available.
A number of allied health businesses and organisations including Headspace, Link Health & Community, Access Community Health, Epworth Hospital and Monash Medical Centre have young ambassadors that are trained up, passionate about their career and eager to share their career journey with your students.
The program is a great way for students to converse with young people and gain a practical understanding of what each occupation is and what its really like to work in the health sector. The ambassadors represent a number of occupations in Allied Health including Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Dietetics. The program is very flexible and can be tailored to suit the needs of any classroom session.
