Welcome

This survey is being conducted by the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Building on its inaugural 2019 survey, the Committee is interested in identifying trends over time related to representation within the profession and within the policies and practices undertaken by firms both internally and externally. The Committee is interested in findings broadly related to equity with a specific interest in findings related to racial equity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you may choose to stop at any time. Your responses will be anonymous and you will only be able to complete the survey once. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the survey.

In discussing diversity, equity, and inclusion, LAF is defining the terms as follows. You will have the opportunity to explain what these terms mean to you within the survey.
  • Diversity is the psychological, physical, and social differences that occur among all individuals, including race, gender, and socioeconomic status.
  • Equity is the guarantee of fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all individuals that acknowledges historical barriers to engagement faced by some groups.
  • Inclusion is creating environments in which all individuals feel welcomed, respected, and able to fully participate and contribute.
LAF will share findings in 2025. If you would like additional information please contact Rachel Booher at rbooher@lafoundation.org.
