Thinking Outside the (Specimen) Box: Digital Paleontology Workshop
Join geologists and educators from the Indiana Geological and Water Survey and IU Paleontology Collection for a hands-on day discovery on the IU Bloomington campus.
The Digital Paleontology workshop is intended for classroom teachers, informal educators, and avocational/amateur paleontologists who want to discover new ways to teach earth science in the 21st century. Participants will engage in hands-on activities with collections objects, learn about digitization efforts, and tour behind-the-scenes for a comprehensive look at using natural history collections in the classroom. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and the 1-day workshop is worth 8 Professional Growth Points (PGPs). Registration is limited to 25 people.
